I think it's strange that one of the attractive features about a man to me is how he acts with kids even though I feel that to spend my life raising children of my own would be to enslave myself to a life apart from that which I was meant to live.

I don't think that's too awful weird. The way a man is around children is a good sign of moral character, patience, and a good heart. :) Those are good things to look for! You're on the right track.
