Intro To Southern Hospitality-- HU 201

Ah, North Carolina. I think I can see SC from here, considering we're so close to the southern border.

It's beautiful. It rained last night. Really rained. As in buckets. I'm sure that's nothing compared to what they see later in the year, though.

I got in late last night- around 10:30. Got my bags, found my ride, and actually made it to the residence around midnight. Only one ofther person had arrived by that time and she was already in bed. I didn't think I was that tired, but I forced myself to go to bed-

-and woke up at 10:30. First thing this morning, Cheri (the other woman that was already here) wanted to go to Wal-Mart and I decided to go with her. We said hello to Joel, who was just arriving, and off we went. Ohmigosh! That place was undeniably, unequivocally huge. I mean... wow. It felt like a theme park. Having worked at Wal-Mart, I knew intuitively where everything was, but there was just so much more.

We got back and I brought the stuff up and had lunch. People started arriving. At 3:00 I had to go get my shots. Polio, Meningitis, Hepatitis A, and Rabies today, plus they gave me the typhoid pills. Next Friday I go back for the rest. Tetanus and the related ones, the rest of the Rabies series, as well as some others. Blood work on Monday or Tuesday. Sounds like fun, n'est pas? Anyway, we're hanging out right now. I think I'm going to take a short nap before I have to go down for dinner.

More later.
